Our niche in the industry is ‘print design’ meaning the book projects we design and the print ready files we create are geared towards physical print books.
Professional Book Formatting Service
Using your submitted text and images, we can design the layout for the interior pages of your manuscript into a professional book format.
We never use set templates.
All design is done manually by a professional book designer meaning the design is bespoke and utilises the designer’s skills and creativity and will be tailored to the needs of your book.
The print ready files you can submit to your chosen printing company.
This service includes:
Formatting the layout of the interior pages.
Formatting any images to the correct quality and specification for printing.
Create PDF proofreading files for you to proofread.
Corrections (after proofreading, you let us know what alterations need to be done like typos etc.)
Create print ready PDF files.
This service does NOT include:
Book cover design.
Printing.
Proofreading/editing (you can always ask our partner The Ink Brolly to do this.)

Premium Book Design Service
This service is a more comprehensive full book design service which you may prefer.
We can custom design your manuscript into a professional looking book.
Our premium book design service includes:
Formatting the inside pages and layout.
Creating the outer book cover.
Multiple proofing and correction stages to ensure the highest quality.
Printing the book as perfect-bound softbacks or hardbacks (saddle-stitch binding may be available for small booklets).
There is no minimum order quantity for printing, but keep in mind the unit cost per book goes down the bigger your initial print order.
Also keep in mind, the more colour pages you have, the higher the printing costs. From the total book page amount, you can have up to 20% of coloured pages before the entire book gets classed a full-colour print job, which can be very expensive. This is something we can guide you on near the end of the project.

Social Media Artwork Service
Designing, formatting and printing a book is only the first step in your self-publishing journey. The second part which is equally important is the promotional part. If people don’t know about your book, they can’t buy it.
If you are an author who prefers not to DIY your artwork designs and want to keep the book marketing professional-looking and maintaining quality, we can offer our Social Media Artwork Service. (*This is purely a graphic design service. We do not market the book for you).
This means after we’ve finished designing your book, we can also create digital artworks for your website and social media platforms so you can promote your book visually.
We work with you on this and tailor it to your needs.
The social media platforms we design for are Instagram and Facebook (artwork may also be suitable for your other platforms depending on the site’s accepted dimensions).

How Much Does Self-publishing a Book Cost?
Costs will vary as it will depend on which service you choose and what your project entails.
Everyone’s requirements are unique, as are the project specifications, so we prefer to charge the appropriate price related to your project. It’s why we offer custom quotes rather than fixed packages with creative restrictions. We want your work to be the best and stand out from your competition.
We dedicate a lot of time and attention to the projects we take on and working in close partnership with our authors and writers to create a high-quality bespoke project.
To give you an idea on your budget costs, typically, for the Premium Book Design Service option, costs can range between £6000 to £7000+ as they are usually large complex projects filled with lots of text and images that have to be manually edited to industry standard specifications, proofread, corrected and combined with book printing.
Book Formatting Service option can range between £1000 to £2000+ depending on the specifications and project size.

HOW TO REQUEST A QUOTE
We quote on sight of your manuscript in order to assess your design project. The customised quote is specific to your project. Without seeing anything, we CANNOT work out a price for you.
(Please ONLY contact us when you have your manuscript draft ready).
Once you contact us, we’ll ask you to email over your completed manuscript draft for us to look over to assess the design work requirements and costings.
Your manuscript draft should be sent over on a Microsoft Word file — text and images (if any). It doesn’t have to be set out super neatly as we wouldn’t be using your layouts if you agreed to the project go-ahead. We just need something to see to get an overview.
Any projects that don’t go ahead after the quote is sent, we will of course delete the manuscript files from our systems.
