Stepping off the train onto the platform at Liverpool Lime Street railway station, you are grateful to stretch your legs after a long journey. Heading out of the station, you walk the short distance to The Royal Hotel where you’ll be staying.
Heading to the reception desk, you are greeted by a pleasant smiling gentleman who checks you in for the duration of your stay and introduces you the amenities of the hotel.
Once you are shown to your room to settle in, you head to the window and looking out, you take in the sunny blue-sky day and the hustle and bustle of people below going about their daily business.
Walking to the desk, you sit down and grabbing your satchel bag, you open it and take out a notepad with a gramophone design on the front. Music was your life; without it, the world would be an awfully dull place.
It was time to write and send word back home that you have arrived safely in Liverpool.
